About Our pub
The White Hart is a Grade II listed building, with origins dating back to the 17th century, and has seen additions in the 18th and 19th centuries.
The pub had been closed and unoccupied since the COVID-19 pandemic. We purchased the building in February 2024 and embarked on a substantial refurbishment, including an extension and a complete interior overhaul.
The renovations included installing 12 hand pulls (including two cider pulls), a new ground floor cellar, and updating the pub's interior.
The White Hart reopened on March 13, 2025, after the renovations were completed.
The "White Hart" name is a reference to the white stag, which has a rich history in English folklore and was a symbol associated with Richard II of England.
The White Hart was previously named CAMRA Telford Pub of the Year in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
